6 Ways To Get The Edge In Real Estate Advertising Now - REWW - Kent Clothier

Some of you have been asking about what other advertising mediums are working in other parts of the country. I put together a list of a few…

ValPak – We currently have a license holder that is advertising using this medium and if you think about this target audience it really is a perfect place to advertise. When people are tightening up their pocket books – they are looking for bargains and cutting coupons. These same people may also be looking to sell their house or get rid of a problem house. These people are using coupons and services inside ValPak. Same customer – relatively inexpensive to advertise with – and a really effective medium.

PennySaver, Thrifty Nickel (and any other local weekly rag) – Another example of a source of information and services when people are trying to save a buck. We have done quite a bit of advertising with these types of papers and have in fact done some things with them nationally. This a very effective medium – that reaches out to the clientele that we are all searching for.

Home Owner Association Newsletters – When I heard this one I was truly shocked that I had never even considered such a thing. Many of us live in neighborhoods or want to buy in neighborhoods that have HOAs. A lot of these entities send out a monthly or quarterly newsletter and for a nominal fee you can advertise in them. We have a licensee in the South that is doing this and is having tremendous success with it.

Utility Bills – Another one that hadn’t occurred to me until I saw it with my own two eyes. Some municipalities include envelope stuffers in their utility bills and will let you designate a particular neighborhood that you want your piece to go into. This a great way to target a very specific area and to really maximize your marketing dollars.

Electric Cooperative Magazines – We have a good friend and 800-SELL-NOW license holder that turned us on to this one. Many areas of the country depend on Electric Cooperatives for their electricity. Consequently, a lot of these cooperatives publish monthly magazines or newsletters for their customers. These are usually high-quality, nicely produced publications that you can advertise in for a VERY REASONABLE price. Everyone needs electricity in the area, so the reach of the publication is undeniable.

As always, I hope this information helps and Good Luck!
