Four Questions To Find The Purpose For Your Business

Four Questions To Find The Purpose For Your Business

Building a business and designing an awesome life – all starts with your belief systems. You have to want it BAD. More than anything else. PERIOD. And you have to believe that you deserve it.

So in order to get there, I encourage our students to walk down this path and EMOTIONALLY connect with the following statements.

(Meaning that you need to answer these questions in your own words authentically).

1. Why? Why are you doing what you are doing? Why does this matter to you? Why are you not like everyone else – sitting at home, playing it safe, and letting life pass them by? Why does this matter to you so much?

2. What do you stand for?

3. What do you stand against?

4. What do you believe in… so much so that you are willing to die for it?

WHEN you know these answers about yourself – truly and deeply, then you have taken the first step in being able to communicate with your prospects, your audience, your family, your friends, and anyone else that will listen – in a truly authentic and congruent way.

And when you can communicate from that place – all the right people, opportunities, and good fortune find their way right to you.

It is EXTREMELY powerful in your marketing and communication.

HERE ARE MINE:

1. Why?

I want to have mattered. I want the world to be different because I was here. I want my kids to know that I did it the right way – that I didn’t puss out and act like a wimp. I want them to know that I made a difference, I stood up for what I believed in. I fought hard to create a dream life for them and the people around me. I want them to see me making an impact. Changing people. Waking them up and creating transformation. I know that I have a limited time and I want them and everyone around me to know that I don’t take a single minute of it for granted – not just in words – but in action – daily. And because they see it in me, they see it in themselves and they are changed for the better. They create a ripple effect long after I’m gone.

2. What do I stand for?

Honesty. Integrity. Transparency. What you see is what you get. Take it or leave it. I believe in being real, authentic, and speaking your mind. Sometimes I’m right – sometimes I’m wrong. It is never with malice, it is always with good intention, and it’s always the way I feel at that moment. I believe in knowing that you are human – and you make mistakes – but you have to go for it EVERYDAY. Be willing to fail – in an effort to win.

3. What do I stand against?

Hypocrisy. The naysayers. The people that want to tell you how to live your life, when they’ve done nothing with their own. The people that want to wag their finger in your face, stand up and tell you what you should do with your life while they do something else in the shadows. I stand against the people that talk the talk – but don’t walk the walk. They waste my time and my time is not to be wasted.I stand against he people that undermine others. The people that don’t have the guts to fight for their dreams. The people that want to play the victim. There are real victims in this world and then there are the professional victims that believe the world owes them something and they shouldn’t have to work hard to get it. I stand against those people and work hard to shed them.

4. What do I believe in this so strongly that I’m willing to die for it?

I believe that my time is the most precious thing that I have. One minute is priceless. I believe that you get one shot at life.. This ain’t practice. There are no “do-overs”.Acting like you have time to waste is dishonest, disrespectful, and reckless. Live your life NOW. Play full out daily. Wring everything out of life that you can everyday. Focus on the important things. Give up on the trivial crap that’s slowing you down. Get out of your own way. Get out of your own head. Own your time and make the most of it.

I believe in it passionately.  That’s what I believe in and that is my purpose for what I do.

  1. I’m with you. Life is way to short. Since every minute is precious, and it is, those minutes should not be wasted in fear of anything. Spend this life in pursuit of health, wealth and happiness. To not be afraid of trying new things. To be filled with a real sense of accomplishment. Let’s live our lives to the fullest while we can. You never know when its time to check out. I don’t want to be on my final deathbed and thinking about what I should have done. I don’t want to regret all the things I should have done when I had the chance to do them.

  2. I have been pursuing this vocation for more than three years and have not made a dime. I have bought into and listened to a variety of gurus and mentors and spent over $12,000 on product and earnest money only to fail to close anything. My wife and I have filed for bankruptcy protection. I am still very interested in this career, but I don’t know how to continue.
